You can tell when someone looks to the field or the sea that
their lives have depended on it. There is no romance, but a love. A love you see
in their eyes, knowing that what was reaped they are grateful for. In knowing
that the weather changes and crop’s fail, a bad season on the water may put
them at risk of their livelihood, this is who they are, people of the land and
sea. It does not matter if their hands have gone soft from not using a shovel or
a gaff when time has taken them away from their work. You can see it in them
still, the way they walk, the quiet slow look when gazing from their vantage point. These are the
people I try and surround myself with.

As this beautiful passage demonstrates, Robert, so much of what makes a gift a gift is its arrival at the right time. Thank you.
